USMI Names MGIC's Sinks Chairman

U.S. Mortgage Insurers has selected MGIC Chief Executive Patrick Sinks as its new chairman, the organization announced Monday.

Sinks will succeed current chairman Rohit Gupta, who has served in the role since USMI was formed in 2014 and is also the chief executive of Genworth Mortgage Insurance. Previously, Sinks served as the trade organization's vice chair.

Sinks has served as MGIC's CEO since March 2015. Other roles he previously held with the company include president and chief operating officer. He began his career with MGIC in 1978.

USMI also said that NMI Holdings CEO and Chairman Bradley Shuster will become the organization's vice chair.
